I have already planned this out with my husband; that we are going to have a list of tasks every week or so.
It will contain a big or major task among other small tasks that will come along.
Some other small tasks that I can think of for my new house should be re-arranging things for the kitchen and also putting all the furnitures to where they should be i.e. console table at the entryway or the L-shape sofa in front of the TV.
All furnitures I have now are from my parents'. They move out from our IPBA house in KL, and I moved up North. So to save their cost of bringing those furnitures back to Sarawak, I inherit those and will save a lot from my furnishing list.
The bigger tasks that I can think we can make it in two days (OMG I am being very positive and I think it will be easy and quick!) during this weekend are :
1 - Revive Mother In Law (MIL)'s metal bed (old and rusty) by removing all the rust (I am googling it now on how-to) and re-paint it black and the details in gold;
2 - Paint the fridge (may be the upper door only) in chalkboard paint; to hide the dirty look and also to add a purpose (I can write menu on it!);
3 - Paint the smaller fridge (to be located in our master bedroom) flat black and the details in gold;
4 - Build the countertop Mr Husband has been putting it off these few weeks.
There you go. Four major tasks, in a weekend (freaking two days, optimistic I must say!). Two people who know nothing about DIY, and are firstimers. Wish us luck! :)
Not that I am too optimistic and I am eager to know my level of doing DIYs, but I am grouping all the major tasks in a weekend due to it will be the fasting month of Ramadhan for Muslims, and for us too; starting next week.
If we do major tasks like this; on a fasting day, I bet it will stuck half way through the first half an hour into the task; and will only be picked up weeks/months later! I don't want that to happen, hence the plan.
Let see if we can achieve the list by this weekend.... Till then!

Entree.
This is somewhat illegal for me to do, but there are no work whatsoever, no assignments, no emails to respond to, no programme codes to analyse or no issues to handle.
I am posting this from my very office, here in the sunny side of Malaysia, particularly Penang, the Pearl Island.
Using laptop given by the company.
=.="
Since there's nothing can be done, why not I do something which has outputs ? And here it is, a DIY-dedicated blog specially made by yours truly.
I have been doing DIYs alot back in 2009, particularly for my wedding.
From the dais, to the wedding cards, to the doorgifts, gift bags, and even the bride's room.
I will slowly document them down and see if this beneficial to people around me, taking my ideas as examples or something like that.
Knowledge is to be shared, not kept and vanish to the thin air.
I know 2009 was freaking four years ago, but never too late to do something I love to do then, and now.
Even now I have bigger DIY ideas queuing up waiting to be implemented.
Starting from the house we bought last January, 2013.
So much to do, so little time and space.
Till then, wait for my maiden post.
